Bidets, vaparetto (sp?), being clueless, sweaty tourists, bribing kids to join us at a museum (castle, cathedral) - all things I can relate to but your descriptions are way beyond what my postcards (30 years ago) were able to convey to family and friends. I know I'm going to enjoy your journey vicariously - possibly more than I enjoyed my 5 years in Europe. I WILL subscribe!!!!
Just to clarify .......... We REALLY enjoyed our 5 years traveling throughout Europe while living in Germany. In re-reading my blurb above, it sounded like I didn't enjoy it very much.
This was absolutely fantastic and I cannot wait for your other writings as your time unfolds. The parts about the bidet were hysterical but yes I miss my bidet I really do. Your blend of humor and the very real stress that accompanies and overseas move are so on point. Love you all!!!
